The David Ellsworth Legacy Project operates in good faith as it endeavors to (1) conduct a valid and informative survey of people involved in the woodworking and woodturning fields, (2) encourage and support future exhibits of work by David Ellsworth, and (3) produce a major biographical and art book on David’s life and work.
We have every hope and expectation of success, but there are challenges and risks, some known and some unknown, that could prevent us from achieving these goals. We have the cooperation of David and Wendy Ellsworth and access to David’s personal and family archives, memoirs, images, records, correspondence, interviews, art works, and other unique assets in support of the Project goals.
We also have a track record of success in conceiving, developing, and curating exhibits in the fine craft field, and in writing and publishing articles and books, particularly about artists who work with wood. All that being said, there are no guarantees that the Project will achieve any of its stated goals.
